A well-maintained hot tub offers not only relaxation, but also safety and long-term comfort. Whether you have a wood-fired or electric model, proper maintenance of water, structure and stove is essential.
1. Water – clean, safe, balanced
Change the water completely every 1–2 weeks
Use filtration systems and check them periodically
Test and balance pH and alkalinity:
pH: 7.2 – 7.8
Alkalinity: 80–120 ppm
You can use active oxygen tablets or natural products for light disinfection.
2. Wood – protected and well maintained
Clean surfaces with a soft cloth and warm water
Apply special oils once every 6–12 months
Use a thermal insulation cover for protection
3. Stove – efficiency and safety
For wood stoves:
Empty the ash after each use
Clean the glass door and check the seal
Inspect the chimney for deposits
For electric stoves:
Check the control panel and outlets
Make sure the control unit is protected from moisture
4. General hygiene – monthly maintenance
Clean the inside of the tub with a soft brush
Wash headrests and accessories
Ventilate the hot tub well after use
Avoid lotions and body oils

Product maintenance
For the longest lifespan and always pleasant experience, follow these simple recommendations:
Saunas
Ventilate the sauna after each use
Clean benches and walls with a damp cloth (without abrasive products)
Periodically check the condition of the stove and stones
Do not use scented chemical products directly on wood – use only specially designed natural essences
Hot tubs
Change water regularly, depending on frequency of use (ideal: 1–2 weeks)
Clean the interior with a soft brush and dedicated solutions
Check the stove condition and remove ash after each use
Use a cover to prevent accumulation of dirt or leaves
Safety and safe use
Your safety and that of your loved ones is a priority. Here are some important rules and tips:
Before use
Make sure the (wood) stove is properly ventilated
Never leave a lit stove unattended
Check water temperature (ideal: 35–37°C for hot tub, 70–90°C for sauna)
Do not overload the sauna or hot tub – respect maximum capacity
Children and sensitive persons
Children under 12 can use the sauna or hot tub only under strict adult supervision
Avoid use during pregnancy or in case of cardiovascular problems, without medical advice
Personal hygiene
Showering before entry is recommended – reduces impurities in water and protects materials
Avoid using lotions or body oils inside the sauna or hot tub
Other precautions
Do not consume alcohol before or during use
Exit immediately if you feel dizzy, weak or uncomfortable
Make sure the sauna is installed on a solid, heat-resistant base
